What is the first thing you do when you get up in the morning? … you get dressed up , look into the mirror, smile at yourself … think how good you look and set out for the day … ? Is that all ?
I have a question. How do you face yourself in the mirror? Don’t you think you are wasting your life doing what people want you to do rather than following your dreams? What the hell! All our dreams are sold out .. and bought by the Big Names.
You study for Grades which sure are an indicator of your on-paper INTELLIGENCE and EXCELLENCE as they call it. You prepare for Job interviews, just to work as an employee of someone, who himself might not even know what your job is all about. And when you get paid for such a slavery, don’t you feel embarrassed? Don’t you feel like letting yourself down?
But again who cares? Who has the self-respect? All we care about is how many bucks I have in my pocket and how many girls I have slept with in my life. Yes, sure that is an achievement. But is it worth your dreams? How long is it going to keep you happy? Some years down the line, you will realize you have done nothing meaningful in your life,your life is in vain.
You care about the security and stability in the life.But isn’t it all in our mind? And what kind of a slave feels secure in the society? I am not judging you, because I myself might turn out to be a slave working right next to you.
But yes. sometimes I think about such questions and realize why a monk could sell his Ferrari.
